Senior Bankers Predict Second Crisis By 2015

01-12-2010 | More than three-quarters (77 percent) of senior bankers and compliance officers predict another financial crisis by 2015, according to a survey by Complinet. The compliance solutions provider said respondents cited insufficient reforms as the top reason for the next crisis.

In other findings, Complinet said 40 percent those polled felt their firms had changes employee compensation systems as a result of better understanding of business-related risks, and 91 percent believed that people outside the financial industry resent its current bonus structure.

seeing we are living in a gobal marketplace, and the fall out from any problem in any country will have ramifications through out the globe, all restrictions and legistation should be looked at globally

Sadly, the extraordinary measures taken in the last couple of years may in the future be considered to be more ordinary. After a tool has been used for the first time, it's more likely to be used again in the future. I am optimistic things can be turned around in the long-term, if we have the political will to permanently stop using short-cuts and giveaways to special interests.
